Follow these easy steps below to set up your Outlook 2000 for e-mail.

1.
In Outlook 2000, click on the Tools menu located at the top of your window and select Accounts.

2. A window will appear, listing the mail, news and directory service accounts you have already setup. Click the button marked Add. Select Mail to add a new mail account.

3. In the Display Name box, enter in your full name. Click on Next to continue.

4. Enter in your email address (username@surfglobal.net), then click Next to continue.

5. Your incoming mail server should be listed as a POP3 server.

6. The incoming mail (POP3 or IMAP) server should be set to mail.surfglobal.net.

7. The outgoing mail (SMTP) server should be set to mail.surfglobal.net. Click on Next to continue.

8. Your POP account name should be set to your username. Your username is the first part of your email address. If your email address is username@surfglobal.net, then your username is username.

9. Your Password is your GlobalNet password which was chosen at the time of signup. Click Next to continue.

10. Select "I will establish my Internet connection manually". Click Next, then Finish to continue.

11. Close everything that you have open and your email account should be all set for sending and receiving email through Outlook 2000.
